At the end of the month of January begin the competitions for Nuria Castán in the international circuit of Freeride (Freeride World Qualifier), having to defend its 4ª current position in season 2016/17.

Competitions start with two top-level contest, the first at Hochfugen 4* in Austria, a contest in which Castan has never competed, is the first in Europe, after the good results in the contests of NZ last summer (where she got the 1st place in Mt. Olympus 2* and she got a 4th place in Remarkables 4*), then in the first week of February she will travel to France to run in Les Arcs two events, one of 2* and a 4*, these contests are the second time that she dispute, since last season obtained two 2nd places in the tests of 2* and a 5th in the 4*, for this

season is expected to improve especially in the contest of 4*.
These two 4* contests, Hochfugen in Austria and Les Arcs in France, are going to be very important especially for your short term goals, since they will mark an important way the possibility of being able to continue participating in contests of maximum level in the FWQ, 4*, we must remember that the tests are divided into four levels, ranging from 1* to 4* and those that can give way to the Freeride World Tour (FWT) are those of 4 *, evidently in these contests access is limited and only the best Riders of the current ranking are going.
To the results in February, it’s expected to participate in Songdal 4* contest in Norway and in Jasna 4* contest in Slovakia and in the longer term, in March, the objective would be to participate in Obergurl 4* contest in Austria and facing the end of the season, during the month of April, would be participating in Arcalís 3* test in Andorra, this contest is special since it will be in the station of which is local Rider, Nuria Castan.
